School Day
The School Day
The school day is as follows:
The school day begins at 9am until 3.30pm. This is 32.5 hours per week.
The gates open at 8.40am and children begin work in their classes at 9am.
Any children arriving after 9.05am. will be marked as late.
Gates are opened at 3.25pm everyday to allow parents to collect their children from the playground (KS1) or black matting (KS2).
Start of the Day
Gates and doors open at 8:40am and children and parents are welcome in school from then onwards.
Registration
Registration is at 9am, the children have a fifteen minute breaks during the morning at 10:30am. Assemblies are held at 3:00pm. Every day (apart from Thursdays) the children will finish their school day with their class story.
Mornings
Phonics is taught in KS1 immediately after registration every day. Maths and English is taught across school each morning.
Lunch
Lunch is cooked on site using fresh, seasonal local produce and served in two 'family' sittings from 12 - 1pm.
Afternoon
Across school, we teach foundation subjects in the afternoon.
End of the Day
School ends at 3.30pm. However, many children join the various after school clubs which run from 3.30-4.30pm (Monday -Thursday evenings).
